Beale Jones is an artist with over 25 years of experience working as a printmaker, collage artist, and painter.  She studied printmaking under master printmaker Patricia Clarke, developing a strong technical foundation and a deep respect for material and process.

While her printmaking training was formal, Jones is largely self taught in collage and painting , shaping her voice through sustained studio practice and experimentation. She is drawn to the beauty, texture and cultural history of  hand-made papers from around the world, and continues to explore surface, layering and structure across media.

Her process - driven approach allows materials to guide composition, resulting in visually  rich, tactile work that invite close  viewing.  She is currently focusing on acrylic painting on canvas, expanding her exploration of abstraction and surface.
